I have a guilty pleasure…
It’s called shopping. I like to shop and try things out. Usually it is things that I “need” in one way or another. So I decided to start reviewing new product! The KLAREN 24 piece brush set. So, here is my first review! Also, don’t mind the background. I shot the pictures in my son’s room, but I kind of like it, honestly.
I have a recent obsession with makeup. I’ve been watching YouTube, and of course, I am hooked! However, I am not good at all! I need a lot of practice. I don’t have a lot of money either, so I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on makeup brushes. My answer, Amazon.
I looked to Amazon and found this super affordable full kit for only $15.99!
Here is what it looks like.
Now, that is A LOT of brushes. I don’t even know what half of them are for! So I decided that to fully review this product, I had to try as many brushes as possible. So I did my makeup, trying to use a different brush for everything.
This is what was left over, I didn’t try any of these.
These are what I did use! Now, you can see that some of them are not from this kit, obviously! I will explain later on.
This first set of brushes pictures below are TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT! I actually threw these brushes away, that is how disappointed I was. The quality was less than good, there was no good use for them.
The next set pictured were not my favorite, but I gave them another shot. I very rarely use them, but they aren’t bad. Not bad enough to throw away, but not good enough to use everyday.
Now the two fan brushes were good quality and have a good use, I just don’t use them in my daily routine. The same goes for the brush in the middle. It’s too small for foundation, and too big for concealer. That is just my opinion. All three are worth having in your set though.
Now onto my favorite brushes of the bunch!
There is a blush brush that holds its own against my regular blush brush. A powder brush that is just the right density for my needs. Lash and brow duo, hard to mess up, and everyone should own one at least once in their lifetime. There is a spoolie (spooley? Idk, whatever you call it) brush that is great for taming your brows, or even mascara if you want to get adventurous and make your own. I’ve also seen great conditioners for your eyelashes, to make them grow, that you could use this for. (If you want, I can do a test on that DIY for you.) Then the last two I used on my eyes and didn’t love, but found them very useful.
The brushes are very beautiful. I tried to capture, in this next picture, the matte black handle and how they look and are made. The set is pleasing to the eye and comes in three different colors. I also LOVE the fact that it comes with a case to hold them. Since I threw a bunch away, I had room for some of my other regular brushes.
These two are apparently the tools I cannot live without! My beauty blender, and a dual tool from Eco Tools. Someday I will have to tell you all about them, but this post is not to brag about them.
All in all, in the end, I give this product a 3.5 out of 5 star rating. The quality isn’t the best, and there are a lot of useless tools, but the price is right! The tools that are worth using are great!
